Profile

Why Amber loves teaching:
I decided to become an English Language Arts teacher because I believe that literacy skills are incredibly important, not only for academic and career readiness, but also because language is what makes us human. I love sharing the written word with my students as well as helping them to find their own voice as they create new writing. I love teaching English because of the rich and interesting conversations I get to have with my students as we explore various topics in writing and literature, and I love to see my students grow as writers and as literate individuals.

An interesting fact about Amber:
During college, I was on the Crew (rowing) team for Penn State University.
